MET Studio were involved in the design of Museum MACAN – Indonesia’s First International Modern Art Museum, which opened in 2017 in Jakarta. Museum MACAN’s houses over 800 works of modern and contemporary art from Indonesia, Europe, America, and Asia, including work from artists such as Anish Kapoor, Frank Stella and Jeff Koons.
As well as designing the 76,500 square feet interior, commercial and gallery spaces, MET Studio created a brand identity to reflect both the indigenous culture of the museum and its international status.
The museum is included in Time Magazine’s 2018 list of the World’s 100 Greatest Places.
